Planning II


This is an expansion of the last planning devlog that I had created. For my project, I will be creating a bartending game where you have to take people's orders, make them correctly, and then serve it to them. 

1. The core nugget of the design is the AI characters that walk up to the bar counter and give you orders to make. They should be able to  order using descriptions of the drink (I.E I want something sweet), but also the name of the drink itself if they wanted to - and it's up to you to serve the correct drink. The orders would be random meaning that each AI customer is going to have a different request every time. Maybe to incorporate AI more, I could have them send text replies while you're making the drinks depending on if you put the right ingredients in or not. And maybe give them different text prompts depending on what they order, etc.  I want to give them some personality but not too much since I have 4 weeks. After they get their drink they evaluate it and leave.

2.  I think this would be fun because you never know what to expect next or how the AI will respond when you give them the drink you made. I think there's a certain level of satisfaction when you craft something and give it to them as well.  And it's always cool to see what unique combinations the AI can come up with.

3. Well, my main inspiration for the game is VA-11 HALL-A, but that does not use AI, it's more of a visual novel set around being a bartender. The mechanics are the same, but for me my challenge will be to incorporate AI elements into it rather than pre-set situations.
